Some songbirds that are known to sing into the night include the Northern Mockingbird, the Common Nightingale, and the American Robin. These birds are known for their beautiful and complex songs, which they use to communicate with other birds and establish their territory. Singing at night can also be a way for these birds to attract mates or defend their territory when there is less competition from other sounds. **

Our songbirds are hunted at night by nocturnal predators such as owls, nightjars, and some species of bats. These predators have evolved to have keen night vision and acute hearing, allowing them to hunt and catch their prey in the darkness. They play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem by controlling the population of small birds and insects. **

Crows are often scared by larger predators such as owls and hawks, as they pose a threat to them. These predators are natural enemies of crows and can easily prey on them. On the other hand, songbirds are smaller in size and are not typically targeted by these larger predators, so they are not as scared of them. **

No, pigeons do not belong to the songbirds. Songbirds are a specific group of birds known for their vocalizations and include species such as robins, sparrows, and finches. Pigeons, on the other hand, belong to the family Columbidae and are known for their distinctive cooing sounds. While both songbirds and pigeons are common urban birds, they are not classified together in the same group. **

Crows belong to the songbirds because they are known for their complex vocalizations and ability to produce a wide range of sounds. They are highly intelligent birds and are capable of mimicking other sounds, including human speech. Their vocal abilities and diverse repertoire of calls and songs make them a part of the songbird family. Additionally, crows are known for their melodious and sometimes haunting calls, further solidifying their place among the songbirds. **

Songbirds may not mix with each other due to competition for resources such as food, nesting sites, and mates. Each species of songbird has its own specific ecological niche and behaviors that help it to survive and reproduce, so they may avoid mixing with other species to reduce competition. Additionally, songbirds may have different vocalizations and mating displays that are specific to their own species, which can also contribute to their tendency to stick with their own kind. Overall, these factors can lead to segregation and limited interaction between different species of songbirds. **

Sparrows and other songbirds typically have a relatively short lifespan, with most living only 2-5 years in the wild. However, some individuals have been known to live up to 10 years in the wild and even longer in captivity. Factors such as predation, disease, and environmental conditions can all impact the lifespan of these birds. Overall, the average lifespan of sparrows and other songbirds is relatively short compared to some other bird species. **

There are more and more exotic songbirds in Germany due to a combination of factors. One reason is the increasing popularity of keeping exotic birds as pets, leading to more potential for escape or release into the wild. Additionally, climate change may be creating more suitable habitats for these birds in Germany. Lastly, the global trade in exotic birds may also be contributing to their presence in the country. As a result, these factors are leading to an increase in the number of exotic songbirds being observed in Germany. **
